How to Apply a License File in Mathcad 15
Mathcad 15 is a powerful software for engineering calculations, data analysis, and visualization. It requires a valid license file to run on your computer. If you have purchased Mathcad 15 or have an existing license for Mathcad 14, you can apply a license file in Mathcad 15 by following these steps:
Install Mathcad 15 on your computer. You can download the installation files from the [PTC website] or use the CD provided by your vendor. Note that Mathcad 15 cannot be installed side-by-side with Mathcad 14. The installation of Mathcad 15 will uninstall 14.
During the installation process, you will be prompted to select a licensing option. Choose "Acquire a new license" and then "I want to acquire a license via the Internet".
Select the Mathcad product you own and click Next. On the next screen, select "I want to retrieve a copy of the existing license for this computer" and click Next.
You will need to log in with your PTC web account. If you do not have one, you can create one for free by clicking "Create Account". You will need to provide your name, email address, and product serial number.
After logging in, you will receive your license file via email. Save the file to a location on your computer that you will remember. You will need to point to this file in a subsequent step of the licensing process. When saving to your computer, change the file extension from .txt to .dat.
Start the Mathcad License Setup program again by opening a command prompt (usually Start > Run > cmd) and typing "c:\\Program Files\\Mathcad 15\\mathcad.exe" /license (make sure to include the quotes and all spaces).
Select "I want to configure Mathcad to use an existing license file" and click Next. Click on the button with the three dots and browse for your license file. Click Next and then Finish.
Now you can start Mathcad 15 and enjoy its features.
